A fundamental purpose of CCB is to train the best students at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Computational Biology. CCB faculty teach courses in high-demand fields such as biology, bioengineering, computer science, and mathematics. A wide spectrum of undergraduates gain perspective on the computational and genomic revolutions and their impact on society and have the opportunity to come to the frontier of this scientific field.
A number of educational and training programs focusing on computational biology have been established at Berkeley, and while not all of them were developed through the CCB, center faculty are intimately involved in all of them.
