Computational Biology Initiative Hires
As a sign of the university's commitment to computational biology, CCB was awarded seven faculty FTE as New Ideas Initiative. These areas are designed by the center's Executive Committee and are intended to catalyze interdisciplinary interactions amongst the large computational biology community at UC Berkeley. The searches are conducted by an interdisciplinary search committee selected by the director. Thus far, the CCB has successfully recruited four faculty to Berkeley.
