QB3 will host a one-day symposium on cell membrane systems and technology, aimed at academic and industry scientists interested in the biology, chemistry, and pharmacology of cell membranes. The event will feature morning and afternoon sessions lead by UC faculty and industry leaders, each session choreographed to ensure biological, technological, and industrial perspectives are juxtaposed back-to-back. Three poster sessions will highlight academic and industry research.

Keynote Speakers:

Richard Scheller, Executive Vice President of Research, Genentech -- "The Future of Drug Development - Personalized Medicine"

Barbara Baird, Professor, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Cornell University -- "Engineering the Stimulus: Taking the Reins to Examine and Control IgE Receptor-mediated Cell Activation"
