Submission forms and sample vials are available at the Facility. Be sure to answer all pertinent questions on the form and to label your sample and form with the same sample code/number. Taking the time to fill out your request will expedite your sample analysis and will help the staff make the right decisions about how to analyze your sample. Remember to obtain your research advisor's signature if he/she has stipulated that a signature must be obtained before analysis. A PDF submission form can be downloaded here.
Sample drop off/pick up
There are baskets in the Facility marked according to the ionization technique requested. Tape your sample to the submission form and place it in the appropriate basket. Upon completion of the analysis, your data and sample will be placed in the Mass Spectrometry Annex, next to 8 Lewis, according to your faculty advisor's name. Sample turn-around time is between one and three days for low resolution FAB. Check with the staff about the turn-around time for the other techniques. Samples can be dropped off outside of regular working hours in the Annex, using the appropriately labeled slots.
