FAQs
Q: Who can submit nominations?
A: QB3 faculty.
Q: Who is eligible to be nominated for the prize?
A: Grad students, postdocs, and staff at UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, or UCSF who conducted relevant research at one or more of the three campuses.
Q: When will nominations be accepted?
A: June 10–June 30, 2011.
Q: How can I submit a nomination?
A: Send nominations to innovation.award@qb3.org. We will confirm receipt.
Q: If a team wins, how will the prize money be allocated?
A: Equally among all members.
Q: Can someone who was not nominated be added to the winning team after nominations have closed?
A: No. Only people explicitly listed in a nomination email from a QB3 PI can win.
Q: What happens next?
A: Beginning July 1, all nominees will be reviewed following the Award Selection Process.
Q. What can winners spend the money on?
A. Anything they want. The award is unrestricted.
Q. Who is responsible for taxes on the prize?
A. The winner/s is/are responsible for all taxes.
