    CellSight Technologies is a molecular imaging company focused on development of imaging and biomarker detection technologies for the cell and gene therapy market. We are looking for interns with an educational background in biological sciences (biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, etc.) or bioengineering/biomedical engineering. Interns will work on cell culture assays, in vitro assays and animal imaging studies for the development of imaging and biomarker detection technologies.     Alquest Therapeutics is focused on the discovery of small molecule drugs for unmet medical needs with a special emphasis on Parkinson’s disease. We are seeking an ambitious scientist to take the lead on a grant-funded research program to identify drugs for treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct laboratory research to identify drug candidates for clinical development. You will be working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and must be motivated by novel challenges and inspired by the deployment of innovative and creative solutions.     Required experience and skills:
    —A PhD in biology or related field, preferably with post-doctoral or industry experience. The ideal candidate will have a depth of experience in cell biology and working with animal models of neurodegenerative diseases, preferably with Parkinson’s disease models.
    —Experience with drug discovery and/or pharmacology is a plus.
    —Entrepreneurial spirit and goal-driven; ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment of peers and outside experts.
    —Candidates must be able to work independently and have shown sustained research productivity demonstrated by a track record of publications and/or success in industry.
    —Candidates must possess excellent data analysis skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Responsibilities:
    —Work closely on a team with research biologists, clinical instrumentation/automation specialists, biostatisticians, clinical research and development scientists, and other informatics scientists
    —Work exclusively in multidisciplinary, collaborative teams
    —Contribute to design of discovery research studies, research protocols, and report preparation
    —Participate in developing and testing novel QA/QC metrics for instrumentation and reagent development and qualification
    —Explore, implement, and evaluate novel quantitative metrics and data analysis methods for interpretation of biological experiments
    Job Requirements:
    —Very strong interpersonal skills and a track record of success in team-oriented environments
    —High-level problem solving skills
    —Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    —A PhD with strong background in computational biology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computer science or related field
    —Post-doctoral experience in an industrial setting a plus
    —Demonstrated willingness to be hands-on and pro-active
    —Demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
    —Experience with popular statistical packages such as R, SAS, and JMP
    —Programming experience in Windows and Linux environments with a strong preference for Python proficiency
    —Comfortable in a dynamic, rapidly changing, and highly competitive industrial environment
    —Able to work effectively with internal and external colleagues and collaborators, both academic and industrial
    —Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
    —Knowledge of multicolor flow cytometry a definite plus
    —Knowledge of programming languages C# and/or C++ is a plus
