Brian Shoichet appointed new director of QB3-UCSF; Andrej Sali steps down

Brian Shoichet, professor of pharmaceutical chemistry, an expert in computational methods for modeling how drug molecules interact with proteins, has been appointed the new director of QB3-UCSF.

As director of QB3-UCSF, Shoichet will control a $1.5 million annual budget that supports core research staff and facilities in Byers Hall and Genentech Hall on the UCSF Mission Bay campus.
